Upgraded Marble Cake

Marble pound cake is already very known and good dessert which we all love. This Marble Cake with Marbled Frosting is an upgrade of it. It is composed of marble sponge cake and marble frosting with vanilla and chocolate pudding. Preparation of upgraded marble cake is more demanding and takes a little longer than simple marble pound cake, but despite this it is not too hard if you have experience at baking. Total making time, together with baking and cooking the puddings is about 1 hour and a half. Upgraded Marble Cake Ingredients (for a square baking tray 35×40 cm) […]

Peanut Butter Brownies

Everyone loves a good brownie. Brownies are quickly prepared, chocolatey, and delicious dessert! This time I’ve decided to make them with peanut butter. The combination of chocolate and peanuts is absolutely amazing! Peanut Butter Brownies also have a nice texture. Top is crackly, and the middle is gooey. They are prepared very easily, in fact, you will need half an hour for preparation and less than half an hour for baking. I love to prepare them when I’m invited somewhere or somebody comes unannounced. But they are great also for Sunday lunch when you have many dishes to make and […]

Blueberry Pie

A delicious summer blueberry pie with melted chocolate! What could be better? This pie is one of my favourites and is very similar to sour cherry pie (recipe here) which I also like. The Blueberry Pie is made of regular vanilla crust, loads of blueberries, blueberry pudding, and chocolate drizzle. Fresh or frozen blueberries can be used.  The baking and preparation time is about 1 and a half hour. I bake the pie in rectangle shaped baking tray of 35×40 cm dimensions. If using a round pie baking tray, use two thirds of each ingredient.  Ingredients Vanilla Crust 600 g […]

“Something Different” Sacher Cake

Last time I asked my Insta followers about recipes they would like to see on the blog. One of suggestions was Sacher Cake. And since this is the blog Bake Something Different, it is my job to add a personal note to every cake. The original Sacher Cake is made of rich chocolate sponge, covered with apricot jam and melted chocolate. I have already tried it (based on the original recipe from Hotel Sacher) and believe me, it is worth a try. You can get it in Sacher Cafe in Wien or Graz. And also indulge in amazing trip to […]

Creamy Choco Orange Cake

Creamy Choco Orange Cake is a perfect dessert for chocolate-orange combination lovers. It is made of cookie crust, chocolate ganache, orange jelly and mascarpone frosting with fresh orange aroma. I decorated it simply with piped frosting and orange zest. The cake has 23 cm diameter and you can cut it into 10 pieces. It is important you have a baking tray with removable bottom and one smaller baking tray because the jelly is shorter than the whole cake diameter. Preparation will take you about four hours, together with baking and cooling time. If you are an experienced baker, it is […]

Raspberry White Chocolate Tart

Spring recipes just call for different fruits! Since the past recipes have been strawberry, I decided to make a raspberry tart this time. And of course, can’t do it without chocolate! Raspberry White Chocolate Tart is a delicious fruity-chocolatey tart, made of cocoa crust, raspberry filling, and white chocolate ganache. All of these are very simple to make and the whole procedure will take you about an hour and a half. It’s the best if you use the pie/tart baking tray, but if you don’t have it, round cake baking tray will do too – just use a big enough. […]
