Another cookie recipe for chocolate lovers. I named them Sacher Christmas Trees because they are made of cocoa cookie dough and apricot jam, covered with chocolate. A perfect recipe for Sacher Cake fans!
Ingredients will be enough for 70 pieces. The preparation time is 4 hours.
Ingredients
Cookie dough
- 500 g baking flour
- 75 g raw cocoa powder
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 300 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 15 g baking powder
- Half a teaspoon of salt
150 g apricot jam
Chocolate cover
- 200 g baking chocolate/dark chocolate
- 150 g butter/margarine
Procedure
Knead the dough from all listed ingredients. Set in fridge for at least half an hour.
Roll the dough and cut christmas trees with a cookie model. Be careful you roll the dough very thinly so the finished cookie won’t be too thick.

Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes on 180 degrees C.
When cold, stick two cookies together with apricot jam.

For chocolate cover, melt baking chocolate together with butter. Sink each cookie in the mixture and set on a plate with enough distance. Let the chocolate dry.
