Now there’s no doubt the fall is finally here, that’s why I have a new fall recipe for all of you who love apple pie. There’s nothing better than a hot apple pie, fresh out of the oven, while you enjoy reading a book, watching the series, and admiring the raindrops outside. The preparation of these mini pies is very simple, and it will take you about an hour (plus baking time – half an hour), which is a little bit more than an ordinary apple pie, but aren’t these mini apple pies just adorable?
Ingredients (for 12 pieces):
- 300 g flour
- 100 g sugar
- 150 g butter
- 1 egg
- Teaspoon of baking powder
- Teaspoon of vanilla sugar / vanilla essence
- 2 big apples or 3 small ones
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- Teaspoon of cinnamon
- Powdered sugar
From all the listed ingredients for crust knead the dough. You can put it in the fridge for a while.
Prepare the baking tray for muffins. You can butter it and cover with flour or simply use a baking spray.
Wash the apples, peel and clean them and grate them. Cover them with sugar and cinnamon.
Take the dough out of the fridge. Put the dough in every “cup” in the baking tray, slightly push it and cover the edges well.
Fill them with apple mixture.
Grate the dough on the mini pies or make a lattice pie (if you have a lot of additional time :)).
Bake your mini pies for about 30 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius. Pies are ready when the dough on the top becomes golden brown. Before serving, you can sprinkle them with some powdered sugar.
